         10:00 am crowds look at boats

         11:00 am and they're off! Let the racing begin!

The Viking 200 challenges local businesses, organizations, and individuals to build a boat entirely out of cardboard, duct tape, glue, caulking and paint, stick two people in it, and race around a 200 (give or take) yard course on the Bass River, for fabulous prizes, really cool trophies, and above all, bragging rights to the much coveted Viking Cup and Rubber Ducky Trophy.  

There are also many other distinctive awards; Best Design, Most Outrageous, Best Team Spirit, Most Artistic, Best Boat Name, Largest Crew and the Andrea Doria Award for the Most Spectacular Sinking. If you’re going down do it with enthusiasm.
